What we keep and why.

Postmarketed is a service of CKI, LLC. This page says what we keep and why, in plain English.

Clients

We keep your business name, your license number if you're a contractor, the photos you send us for posting, the captions we write, and which of your pages we publish to. Photos are yours; we remove location data from them before anything is published. We never see or store your Google, Facebook or Instagram passwords: publishing runs through Buffer, which you authorize directly and can revoke any time.

Prospects

If we email you about the service, it is because your business is a licensed contractor or a local business. We send one email and, if you don't answer, at most one short follow-up. Each says it is an advertisement and carries our mailing address. Reply STOP or 'no thanks', or use your email app's Unsubscribe button, and you go on our do-not-contact list permanently.

Homeowners asking for a quote

If you ask a contractor for a free quote on their quote page here (postmarketed.com/q/ and their name), we email what you typed, your name, phone, email, town and the job, to that contractor and to us, and keep a copy so we can count the requests in their monthly report. We don't contact you, add you to any list, or use it for anything else. We don't keep your internet address: to stop spam, a scrambled version of it is held for one hour and then dropped.

Google reviews

For clients on Pro, we read the emails Google sends about new reviews on their listing so we can write the reply, and keep the review as Google showed it.
